TERMINOLOGY
Shortened name amongst students and staff goes as International Education of Digimon or IESD. A school that specalizes in the study of Digimon, they once started out as a privately organized educational system. From Kindergarten to even college levels, the private school system lasted for 10 years before Administration decided to hold a vote on keeping things as they were or switching to a public school system. Due to the demand of more information on studying the behavioral patterns between the coexistence of both worlds, a public school system was voted upon. These events occurred four years ago...
Schools appeared over night, thousands of students have enrolled for their country’s IESD, whether intrigued by the concept or for the free education. Several academies can be found in Asia and North America, while a few are accessible in South America, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica.

Administration Research System
The ARS is a world wide informations hub for students and teachers to observe. Many records of digimon, rumbles, items, and locations known in the Digital world are stowed away in the research system for viewing purposes. For map excessibilities, one must obtain the code pertaining to that area to gain access to such information. It is said that some schools hide information within their specified ARS from other rivaling schools.
Identification Device
Also known as the iD, each and every student and staff must carry one of these on their person at all times when on school campuses.
This device is used for various things, such as computer access at one’s school, a way of contact for peers and teachers alike, and a means of evolution for one’s Digimon partner.
The iD is made up of several Digizoids. Upon inspection, there are five buttons located on the device; two keys on the bottom right for select and cancel, a rocker on the upper left, and a button for quick evolution access on the back. This button is usually disabled and also hides a USB connector. A touchscreen is also provided for those keen to such things.
If a student does not have their iD, they will be escorted off the campus until it is on their person. If an iD is lost, Administration will send out a notice to be on the lookout for it.
Rumble
A term for official fights between digimon belonging to students.
There are two types of Rumbles: RW Rumbles and DW Rumbles.
RW(Real World) Rumbles are monitored by one or more teachers, and are only able to commence with one present. Any fight between two clubs or students without the presence of a teacher is considered unofficial. If an unofficial fight occurs and a teacher later becomes present, consequences are taken into effect depending on the teacher's choice(suspension / expelled from fighting, making the fight official, and / or other fitting punishments). All official rumbles are recorded for renown towards clubs.
DW(Digital World) Rumbles are free reign amongst all students present in the Digital World via iDW or Gateway Terminal. Data from a fight is automatically recorded through a student’s iD, linking up and connecting to the Administration’s Research System.
Clubs
Clubs within IESD serve as clans / gangs / guilds amongst all students regardless of their grade. Club members spread their existence amongst others by fighting against other clubs through RW and DW Rumbles or iDW exploration / community service; gaining renown for their club to take up more offers of requests or assistance. Most clubs meet either after school or on iDW, whether it's to spend free time, plan out what clubs to fight next, or assist digimon within the Digital World. Clubs also act as special interest gatherings as any normal club would. Students are free to join as many clubs as they want, but can only represent one club during all Rumbles.
Any and all clubs are subject to participate in Rumbles with the overall decision made by the president of said-club, immediate titles after the president and their advising teacher. Clubs in persuit of non-rumble clubs is not tolerated.
Factions of clubs can exist in various schools, such as the Zoners of WD.IESD and the Zoners of ND.IESD. Regardless of the school, any and all clubs are allowed to affiliate with each other to assist in Club Rumbles or iDW Services.
Interactive Digital World
An application that allows students to access the Digital World from their home computers with the help of their iD. iDW looks and plays out much like an MMORPG but lets students interact with their digimon in real time, as well as explore the Digital World. Students are also given assignments to interact with their digimon and the Digital World’s inhabitance via iDW.
Certain areas of the Digital World are off limits to younger students when accessing iDW, but they are eventually unlocked upon graduating each grade Level. After reaching Grade Level 11 & 12, students are given permission to enter the Digital World via Gateway Terminals. Students who enter the Digital World can also interact with iDW users as they would through the application.
Interactive Digital World Goggles
Donning a pair of these will connect to one’s brain waves and let them interact in iDW just as if they were really there. Students receive a free pair on their first day of school. With loss or disrepair of this item, students must obtain a new pair upon purchase or completion of staff requests.
Gateway Terminal
Upon grade level 11 & 12, students are allowed to enter the Digital World physically through Gateway Terminals. These terminals have direct connection to the Digital World, sending masses of people and even large objects to and from said location. Only a few terminals are located on campus and are heavily guarded by staff and specialists. Grade level 11 & 12 students can come and go as they please until informed otherwise due to threat levels of hackers or other reasonings. If an undergrade student is caught using the terminal, prior to a verbal warning, suspension or expulsion are two possible punishments.
Digital Synchronization
Term for the bond between a human and their digimon partner. Used in the Digital World, D-Sync is the power to achieve evolution and success in battle. In order to achieve higher levels of D-Sync, a pair's brain waves, thought process, and reaction time must function as one mind. D-Sync is much more easier to achieve within the Digital World due to both humans and digimon being on closer wavelengths than in the Real World.
Real World Synchronization
A more tedious and stressful bond between a human and digimon partner. Due to Digimon becoming real living entities within the Real World, curiosity and individuality kicks in much more than it would in the Digital World, making it difficult for humans to maintain their partners' actions and behavioral patterns. RW-Sync is achieved through the hard work of understanding one another through physical, mental, and emotional means.
In more cases than one, many students are paired with a digimon that does not fit a criteria of those existing within the Digital World already. Tests for Inner Synchronization Synthesis are held on the first day of school, the results will effect one’s partner either being an existing digimon type or an inSync digimon. This allows partners and students to become unique individuals towards the growth of the Digital World and the Real World.
Inner Synchrosis Digimon
Hackers
From within and outside of IESDs and the Digital World, students and outsiders alike that have the ability to manipulate data to their will are known as Hacks. With the knowledge to hack, digimon and areas of the Digital World can easily be modified to fit ones needs. Some areas and most digimon are more accessible to attacks, while cities and mid-sized towns are harder to crack.
Within IESDs, it is illegal for students to hack. If found hacking, students will be expelled and their digimon recycled to helping other individuals.
